Barbara M. Gutman (nee Stebnicki) Beloved mother of Victoria Ann Dean (deceased); daughter of Carl and Jean Stebnicki; sister of Richard Stebnicki (Carole); aunt of 5; great aunt of 10; dearest friend of Sandy, Martha and Ray Wendzicki; cousin of many.

Service will be Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Monica Church. Interment will be at All Saints Cemetery.

Bessie Whitley Gentile passed away Thursday, April 19, 2018 at the age of 96. She was born in Nash County North Carolina on November 6, 1921. She worked as a bookkeeper for several firms in Cleveland, Ohio. She was a longtime member of St. Martin of Tours Church. She was an avid gardener and filled her yard with flowers. She was a generous and good friend. She volunteered at Bedford Medical Center for many years. After moving to Delaware, she volunteered at Longwood Gardens and Alfred I. Dupont Hospital for Children. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty years, Eugene A. Gentile; her three-year-old son Jeffrey; and her seven siblings: her twin Mrs. Lessie Turner, her sister Mrs. Esther Talbot and her brothers Percy, Burtis, Willard, Harvey, and Rudolph. She is survived by her son Wayne and his wife Susan and many nieces and nephews. 

Services will be Saturday April 28, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Martin of Tours Church. The family will receive friends at Vito-Nero Funeral Home 6130 Turney Rd. (2 Blocks South of Rockside) 1 hour prior to Mass.

Marlo Michael Termini age 92 of Valley View, passed away on March 18 at Villa St. Joseph. Beloved husband of Rose (nee Scaglione); dearest father of Mark (Wendy) and Mel (Cindy); loving grandfather of Traci and Tiffany; dear brother of JoAnne Termini, Sister of Charity, and the following deceased: John (Peggy), and Sam; uncle of Jim Termini and many others. Coach and friend of many. Marlo graduated from Holy Name HS, Univ. of Dayton, and Western Reserve University. He was a US Army WWII Veteran, 2001 Greater Cleveland Sports Hall of Fame inductee and 2012 National Senior Softball Hall of Fame inductee. 

Services will be held on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Monica Church Garfield Hts. The family will receive friends at the church 1 hour prior to the mass and at the Knights of Columbus Hall # 4130 10808 Granger Rd. Garfield Hts. following the cemetery.

Dorothy Tomasek (Dot, Dottie), a longtime resident of Warrensville Hts, passed away on March 9, 2018 at Jennings Center for Older Adults. Beloved wife of the late Pete Tomasek; mother of Pete Tomasek (Ann), Kathleen Fobes -Jacoby (Robert), Cynthia Tomasek, Paula Alesnik (Terrence), Michele Anderson (John), and Paul Tomasek; grandmother of Sara, Bernie, Julie, Olivia, Nathan, Justin, Jeremy, Jocelyn, Cherea, Halle, and Mya; great-grandmother of Justin Jr., Jhayden, Kory, and Aleah; Former mother-in-law of Anitra. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents Andy and Helen Manchook; her siblings Ray Manchook, Dan Manchook, and Eleanor Cebul. She truly made our house a home. She was always there for advice or just a listening ear. She enjoyed simple pleasures an afternoon out to the movies, getting her hair done or lunch with a friend. She loved her flowers and making her outside space as beautiful as she could. She loved to put sheets on the laundry line to bring the freshness of outside inside. Above all she loved her family especially her children. Her face would light up when she held a baby. Family events were always memorable because of her love.

A remembrance gathering will be held Sunday, March 18 from 2-4 p.m. at Vito-Nero Funeral Home 6130 Turney Rd. (2 Blocks South of Rockside) In lieu of flowers the family asks that you support research for an Alzheimer’s cure. Donald R. Pilny “Buzz “age 88. Beloved husband of Joanne (nee Jedlicka) (deceased); Dearest father of Scott (Linda) and Deborah Pignatiello (David); Loving grandfather of Jason, Jessica (Jeff), Ryan, and Shawn (Lindsey); Great-grandfather of Brianna and Cadence; dear brother of Frank (deceased)(Rene); dear brother in law of Donna Derbin (Klem, deceased); dear uncle of many.  Donald was a proud US Army WWII Veteran. He was also a Garfield Hts. Auxiliary police officer for 42 years.

Services will be Saturday, February 24 at 11:00 a.m. at Vito-Nero Funeral Home 6130 Turney Rd. Garfield Hts., OH (2 blocks south of Rockside) where family will receive friends on Friday from 6-8 p.m.
