DONALD E. HARTER JR., age 67, passed away January 6th, 2023; beloved husband of Ronnie Lee (nee Ratkosky) of 41 years; dear father of Christopher (Tiffany), Jeffrey (Katie), and Bradley (Brittany); cherished popa of Sophia, Finley and expected grandson; loving brother, uncle, and friend to many. Don devoted 43 years of service to the Village of Valley View. Don had a love of fishing, golf, hunting, race cars, baseball, and card games, but most of all his love of family.

Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, January 13, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Monica Church 13623 Rockside Rd. Garfield Hts., OH 44125 (PLEASE MEET AT THE CHRUCH). The family will receive friends at VITO-NERO FUNERAL HOME 6130 TURNEY ROAD, GARFIELD HTS., OH 44125 on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.

September 26, 1933 - June 19, 2019

Beloved husband of Patricia (nee Brozik); father of Lisa Oleksy (Michael) and Donald (deceased); grandfather of Matthew Oleksy (Brandy), Dana Damas (Scott), and Samantha Schuster (Garrett); great-grandfather of MaKayla, Jack, Jessica, and  Carter; brother of  Mary Lou Hanslik (Robert), Griff Wolf (Margaret), Fredrick Wolf (deceased) and Frances Zgrabik (deceased) (Raymond). 

Services: Thursday, June 27 at 10:30 a.m. at the Funeral Home and 11:00 a.m. at St. Therese of the Child Jesus Church 6637 West Sprague Rd. Parma, OH 44133. The family will receive friends at Vito-Nero Funeral Home 6130 Turney Rd. (2 Blocks South of Rockside) on Wednesday from 5-7 p.m.

Private burial will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.

March 21, 1933 - August 22, 2018

Donald Edward Toolis age 85 of Garfield Hts. passed away on August 22, 2018. Beloved and cherished husband of 56 years of Mary Jane (nee Hrdlica); son of Edward and Helen (both deceased); brother of Jerry; dear uncle, great uncle, brother in law, cousin and friend of many both living and deceased. Donald was a proud US Army Veteran of the Korean War. 

Services: Thursday, August 30, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Monica Church 13623 Rockside Rd. Garfield Hts., OH. Friends will be received from 10:30 – 11:00 a.m. Burial at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.

Donald R. Pilny “Buzz “age 88. Beloved husband of Joanne (nee Jedlicka) (deceased); Dearest father of Scott (Linda) and Deborah Pignatiello (David); Loving grandfather of Jason, Jessica (Jeff), Ryan, and Shawn (Lindsey); Great-grandfather of Brianna and Cadence; dear brother of Frank (deceased)(Rene); dear brother in law of Donna Derbin (Klem, deceased); dear uncle of many.  Donald was a proud US Army WWII Veteran. He was also a Garfield Hts. Auxiliary police officer for 42 years.

Services will be Saturday, February 24 at 11:00 a.m. at Vito-Nero Funeral Home 6130 Turney Rd. Garfield Hts., OH (2 blocks south of Rockside) where family will receive friends on Friday from 6-8 p.m.
