Christina (Tina) Marie Nero nee Tarantino, 54

Tina Nero, of Mentor, died Saturday July 11, at Hospice of the Western Reserve after a courageous yearlong fight with cancer. Service will be Thursday July 16 at 7 p.m. at St. John Vianney Church 7575 Bellflower Rd. Mentor, OH 44060 where the family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. 

Tina was born August 28, 1960 in Euclid and was a graduate of Willoughby South High School. Tina was a hard worker and dedicated employee, working in retail for over 35 years. She enjoyed bowling with family and friends for over 30 years.

She is survived by her husband Michael; step sons Michael (Katie), Johnny (Fallion); precious grandchildren Savanah and Juliana; Her father, Anthony J. Tarantino Sr.; a sister Mary Ann (Greg) Federico of Willoughby Hills; two brothers Anthony (Cheryl) Tarantino Jr. of Boardman; Michael Tarantino of Eastlake; nephews and nieces, Anthony & Carmen Tarantino and Dominic, Anthony, Michael and Michaela Federico; and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. 

She was preceded in death by her mother, Loretta M. (Taylor) Tarantino.

DENNIS GILMAN

June 3, 1948 - June 8, 2015

Dennis E. "Gene" Gilman, age 66, a five year resident of Burton, passed away June 8, 2015, in Willoughby.
Gene was born June 30, 1948, in West Virginia. He was a member of the Early Times Custom Car Club. He is survived by his son, Dennis; son-in-law, Arthur B. Thompson; sisters, Donna Vance and Bonnie Way; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dennis and Hazel.

A private memorial service was held.

JERRY ZELLERS

June 17, 1944 - June 2, 2015

Died peacefully in his sleep, surrounded by family on June 2nd, 2015, from Parkinson’s disease. He was born, in Louisiana, and raised in Alabama, before moving to North East Ohio. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Pauline Zellers, his three children Jerri Zellers (Painesville), James Zellers (Fairport Harbor), and Kathy Rosado (Geneva), three Grandchildren, Sean and William Rosado, (Geneva), and Nastassja Pulliam (Painesville). And Great Grandchild, Izabella Guzzi (Painesville), Jerry’s' brother Donnie Ray, and Sisters Gwen, Myran, Molly, and Joan, all from Alabama. He has a large family with many Nieces, Nephews, and cousins. He is preceded in Death, by his Mother and Father, Mattie and Roy Zellers, His brothers Roy Jr., Charles (Tommy), and Larry Zellers and his Sister Camille, all from Alabama. Jerry worked and retired from TRW/ Argo-Tech. He spent his Retired years enjoying his family, the outdoors, fishing, word search puzzles and his cat Hart. 


A memorial will be held at his sons' home at 401 Seventh St. Fairport Harbor, Ohio on Saturday June 13th at 3:00

October 23, 1956 - May 30, 2015

Barney Ernest Ponn, age 58, departed suddenly on Saturday, May 30, 2015 of natural causes. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn. He is survived by 6 siblings and their families: Helen Stankiewicz, Margaret Michel (Thomas), Timothy Ponn (Jane), Janet Spofford (David), Michael Ponn (Linda), and foster brother Stephen Davey. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 6 from 2-4 P.M. in Painesville, Ohio at the Church of the Nazarene at 6235 Chestnut Street, Painesville, Ohio, 44077.
