Helen F. Murawski (nee Riegelmayer) age 53; Dearest wife of Tom; mother of Christine Riegelmayer, Shawna Miller (deceased), Caylee Riegelmayer (Josh Bowman); Ryan Murawski; step mom of Scott, Adam, and Heather; sister of Annette Slaughter (Brian); step sister of Terry Kuhlman (Missy); daughter of the late Al Riegelmayer and /Rita Lutch; proudest grammy of 11 Cheyanne, Rylee, Charlee, Elliott, Novalee, Madison, Coralie, Teddy, Emily, Madelynn and Alyna; special cousin of Mary Parsons; aunt, cousin, and friend of Many.

The family will receive friends on Saturday February 19, 2022 from 2-6 p.m. at Vito-Nero Funeral Home 6130 Turney Rd. Garfield Hts., OH 44125 (2 Blocks south of Rockside)

Private family interment will be held. 

John Leonard "Lenny" Visconti

February 17, 1935 - December 3, 2021

A man that put his family above anything else.  Loving husband of the late Elizabeth “Betty” Visconti; loving father of Leonard (Susan deceased), William (Denise), Jimmy (Lesley); dearest grandfather of Joel (Megan), Aaron, Carly (Cody), Patrick (Maria), Leigh (Brett), Shane (Ash), Alex, Nina, Tori and Tony; great-grandfather of Dominic-Rocco, Stella Maris, Zoey James and Cameron Elizabeth; uncle, great uncle and friend to many. 

Catholic Mass at St. Therese Church on Monday, March 14, 2022 at 10am. 5276 E. 105th St. Cleveland, Oh. Luncheon immediately following in the Church Hall. 

Betty Jones

February 8, 1950 - January 8, 2022

Betty Lorene Jones, affectionately known as Imani Manpatu, beloved daughter, sister, niece, and aunt passed away on January 8, 2022. She was born on February 8, 1950, in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Theodore and Ollie Jones. Imani was active in the Cleveland Black community and the African diaspora, which included hosting events that illuminated our rich culture. Imani was the founder of Substance of Life Enterprises (SOLE), a Non-Profit 501 (c) 3 African American women's educational organization examining life's fundamentals to understand the very marrow of its soul. Imani was also a long-time radio host on 1490 AM where she hosted a weekly Sunday talk show, the Eighth Flight and more recently Meta’s Kitchen. 

Betty is survived by five siblings, Shirahba Rasheed, Clarence Jones (Maureen), Emoila Bey, Craig Jones (Loretta), and Prince Jones; 12 nieces and nephews, Yurleisa Munford, Monsante Bey, Sebastian Giles, Santonya Jones (Spencer), Shara Jones, Jenae Whitmore (Michael), Akilah Tinsley (Johnny), April Jones (Stefen), Benjamin Jones, Elizabeth Jones, Darnel Jones, and Latrice Jones, and a host of great-nieces and nephews.   

The family of Betty Jones will honor her and her legacy in a manner befitting of her in a gathering of the community in reverence to our African heritage. More details to follow.

Lottie Frygier (nee Grajek) age 104

Beloved wife of the late Frank; mother of Richard R. (Sharon) and Terrance (Judy); grandmother of Martin, Edward, Christina, Renee, and Richie; great grandmother of Alexandria, Taylor, Jimmy, Danny, Allan, Allison, Evan, Jake, and Kelly; sister of Sr. Mary Therese, Sophie, and Leonard (all deceased).

Private services were held. 

Regina Baur

September 1, 1928 - January 12, 2022

Regina Baur (Pokropski) age 93, passed away on January 12, 2022 well fortified with the sacraments.  She was married to Robert Baur for 59 years when he preceeded her in death.  Mother of Patricia Sasso, Grandmother (Bushi) to Michael Sasso, Laura Sasso and Nicholas Sasso.  Greatgrandmother (Bushi) to Lenny Bunsey. Sister of Irene and Chester who preceeded her in death.  Beloved Aunt and Great Aunt.  Reggie was a devout Catholic who remembered all of us daily in prayer.  She was known as Bushi to many and was admired for her sense of humor.  She was a strong woman who lived 93 years with grace and dignity.  She will be missed.

Leland Matheny

Leland Matheny of Cleveland Ohio, passed away after battling small cell lung cancer at the age of 79.

Leland is survived by his stepchildren Brian, Raymond, and Richard Lantzer, his niece and nephews Jacob Groat, Joe Lister, and Linda Frye. He was preceded in death by his wife Vivian Lantzer Matheny, and his parents Orien Matheny and Mary Ellen Matheny. 

Leland was born in Cleveland Ohio to Orien Matheny and Pauline Kelly. He married Vivian Lantzer in November 1996 in Las Vegas Nevada. They enjoyed their golden years together. He enjoyed life and spent a lot of time driving a semi truck across country. He was also a navy veteran. In Vietnam he served his country proudly.

Danielle Snyder

October 4, 1971 - December 12, 2021

Danielle Snyder (Nee Walters), age 50, entered into rest on December 12, 2021, she was born on Oct. 4, 1971, in Cleveland, Ohio. Beloved wife of Bruce; mother of Nicole Snyder – Mrozinski (Nathan) and Dylan Snyder; grandmother of Ashton and Cole Mrozinski; daughter of Tom Walters and Diane Carrol (deceased). Danielle grew up in Garfield, Hts., Ohio and went to Garfield Hts. High School. She studied graphic arts and went on to begin a career as a graphic artist working for several different companies. She really enjoyed doing graphic arts, whether it was making signs for every family event or just during her free time. She cared for others and had a dynamic personality when she was around others. She loved her children deeply and absolutely adored her grandchildren. Danielle was loved by everyone.

Roy Calvin Harris

Sunrise February 6, 1930 - Sunset December 19, 2021

Roy Calvin Harris was born on February 6, 1930 in Monroe Georgia to Solomon Harris and Geneva (Hull) Arnold Harris. Roy was the last surviving sibling of 8 children. He is preceded in death by six brothers: David, Charles, Booker, Solomon (Thomas), Robert Lee, and one sister Rebecca.

Roy married Alma Jean Jones in 1951. To that union was born two daughters: Linda (Andre Guy) Harris and Cynthia Peeler (Michael). Roy lived to see the progeny of 5 generations. First generation: Roy Harris. Second generation: Linda and Cynthia. Third generation: Cintina, Andre, Latoya, Tasha, and Michael (Jamal). Fourth generation: Ariel, Ozzie, Andre, Alonte, Alaina, Tacara, Amira, Star, Andre Jr, Anastasia, and Kavion. Fifth generation: Avyn, Amir, and Andre (AJ). Roy also leaves a host of nieces and nephews.

Roy served in the United States Armed Forces at a young age. Roy was an accomplished architect - developer and blueprint planner. Roy was also a successful entrepreneur. He owned several businesses from restaurants and nightclubs to his long standing construction company, Roysetti Construction.

In the 1960’s-70’s Roy ran for the position of Ward 1 City Counsel. Roy was very involved in politics. Roy assisted in campaigns for numerous judges. Roy also campaigned for the first black mayor, Carl B. Stokes. Roy was a gifted artist, an expert photographer, avid roller skater, and a definite foody. His favorite foods were spaghetti, chicken, and rice, always served with a side of coffee. Before his meal he would always sing or hum the tune “Jesus On My Mind." Roy had great taste in clothing and jewelry. Roy always wore diamonds and he always smelled good. Roy leaves a tremendous legacy of talented artists among his children and grandchildren. Grandpa Roy you will truly be missed!

Ted Roesch

March 20, 1931 - December 15, 2021

Ted Roesch (Roeschenthaler), age 90, passed away on December 15, 2021. He was the husband of Annamarie “Midge” (nee Erny). They shared 66 years of marriage together. Born in Pittsburg, PA, Ted was the son of Paul and Anna Roeschenthaler. He graduated from Case Western Reserve and Cleveland State University with a degree in engineering. He was employed and retired from Gardner Trane as a service-sales engineer. Ted was a member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Therese Church and RSES for 25 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, scuba diving and traveling. Later in life he enjoyed yardwork and spending time with his wife Midge. He will be remembered for his quick wit and love for life. Ted was an avid Steelers fan until the day he died. Ted is survived by his wife Midge, daughter Debra Buckley, son Rob, daughter in law Kim, grandchildren Amanda Kocian (Kyle), Jessica Will, Marissa Roesch, Tyler Roesch and great grandchildren Brock and Cole Kocian.
