Eileen G Blanch

April 9, 1926 - August 1, 2020

Eileen Genevieve Blanch (nee Hoopingarner) age 94, passed away on Saturday, August 1, 2020 after a lengthy stay at Jennings in Garfield Heights. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 31 years, Charlie, who died in 1978. She is survived by two sons, Thomas (Linda) and Paul (Elizabeth.) Also surviving are 5 grandchildren, two “grand spouses” and 5 great-grandchildren. She cherished them all and they adored her. Eileen was a loving wife and mother and mother-in-law as well as a doting grandmother and great-grandmother. While she is the last of her generation in her family as well as her husband's, she is survived by many loving members of the next. Eileen will always be remembered for her sunny smile and enjoyment of life. She treasured countless lasting friendships and brought fun and laughter to every situation. She was proud of her Irish heritage and true to her Catholic faith. She had a special place in her heart for St. Joseph and for the Serenity Prayer. Both sustained her through the good times and bad along with her belief that “this too shall pass.” She will be loved and miss by many long into eternity.

Private family graveside services will be held immediately with a Mass of the Resurrection to be celebrated at a later date.
