Arlene B. Fontana. Age 68 of Independence, OH died unexpectedly August 5, 2016. Arlene was the beloved daughter of Orie J. and Wanda R. (Alexander) Fontana (both deceased). Left to mourn her loss are sister, Maria Bookwalter (Dennis) of NC; dear nieces Angela Collie, Denise Bookwalter (Mark Greeley), Candice Bookwalter (Jeremiah Heilman), Heidi Stauffer (Andrew) and Adriane Bookwalter. Great aunt of 9. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions suggested to the Cleveland Food Bank.
Relatives and friends are asked to gather for the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am on Friday, August 12, at St. Michael Catholic Church, 6540 Brecksville Rd., Independence, OH 44131. Interment All Saints Cemetery.

Elanor treasured her family, and was loved by all whose lives she touched. Wise and witty with a great sense of humor, she was also blessed with a beautiful singing voice. A woman of faith, she was always thankful for the help she received in her later years. She was a Girl Scout leader for many years, active in Maple Hts. Women’s Civic League, and held many other volunteer positions. She proudly graduated from Cleveland State at 61 years of age, fulfilling a life long dream.
