Mary Jane Toolis

May 1, 1936 - October 24, 2021

Mary Jane Toolis (nee Hrdlica) 85, beloved wife, daughter, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, great aunt, and cousin, went to be with the Lord on October 24, 2021. She has reunited with the love of her life, and husband of 56 years, Donald Toolis. She was a kind, sweet soul who always put others before herself. She never forgot a birthday; loved ones always received a card in the mail on their special day, and she never missed a year. Mary Jane was a lover of animals and cared for many fur babies throughout her life, including her German Shepherd Brutus and Whiskers the cat. She was also a devout Catholic who loved the Lord. Mary Jane is survived by her sister-in-law, Bonnie Hrdlica; niece, Dawn Burke (Bo); niece, Denise Rowell (Josh); great-nieces, Kamryn Grace and Lily Claire Rowell; brother-in-law Jerry Toolis (Esther); nephews Sean and Patrick Toolis, and cousin Kay Parrent.  She was preceded in death by her devoted husband Donald Toolis (They are most likely listening to 50’s music together again); her parents, Fred J. and Mary (nee Kuzma) Hrdlica; and her brother Kenneth Roger Hrdlica.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Monica Church in Garfield Heights, Ohio on November 19th at 10:30 am. Interment will follow at 12:45 pm at Western Reserve National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Monica Church.
