Theresa B. Pruchnicki

August 24, 1928 - May 27, 2023

Theresa Pruchnicki (nee Sulowski) age 94, passed away peacefully on the morning of May 27, 2023. Theresa was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on August 24, 1928, to the late Simon and Katherine Sulowski. She is preceded in death by her siblings, Celia, Henry and Apoline. Theresa graduated from South High in 1946, and a year later met John Pruchnicki at a polka dance. They married on May14, 1949, a marriage of love that lasted 74 years. Theresa will be deeply missed by husband John, and her sons Ken (Kathy) and Ron (Sue). She was a loving grandmother to Kerri Carmichael (Jack), Eric (Heather), Kristyn Hivick (Paul), and Scott (Shawna). Theresa was also a devoted great grandmother to Anna, Scarlett, Lucy, Harper, Hudson, and Maddie. Beloved by her in laws, nieces and nephews, neighbors, and friends. Theresa built relationships that lasted a lifetime. Be it working with the St. Monica's Lady Guild to playing Bingo with the residents at Jennings Hall, to making Cream-O- Wheat and playing Old Maid with the grandkids, to making apple squares for family events; Theresa truly tried to live up to her namesake's legacy: "Do no great things.  Only small things with great love."

Mass of Christian burial will be on Thursday, June 1, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Monica Church 13623 Rockside Rd. Garfield Hts., OH 44125. The family will receive friends one hour prior to mass at the Church.

Theresa M. Klimkewicz "Terry"

October 31, 1929 - June 7, 2017

Theresa M. Klimkewicz “Terry” (née Witkowski), long-time resident of Garfield Hts, Ohio passed away on Wednesday June 7, 2017 at the age of 87 after a lengthy battle with Alzheimers.   Theresa was a member and past president of the Garfield Hts. Women's Club for many years and a member of the Women's Auxiliary of Amvets Post 80.  Theresa loved to read and to travel but especially enjoyed parties and holidays with her family.  Born on October 31st, she always referred to herself as the "good witch".  She was a long-time member of St. Monica Catholic Church.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years Ambrose, and siblings, Anna Wisniewski, Adele Apana, Wanda Blauman, Frances Farren and Thaddeus "Sky" Witkowski.  She is survived by her children David Klimkewicz (Mary Jane), Thomas Klimkewicz, (Antoinette), Marian Cooper, and Marcia Demerest (Walter).  She was grandmother to Erik Klimkewicz, Angela Corso (Cooper), John Klimkewicz, Audra Tuetken (Cooper), Seth Klimkewicz, Kate LaScala (Klimkewicz), Stefanie Sikon (Cooper), Patrick Klimkewicz, Keith Demerest, and Mary Arnold (Demerest),) and great-grandmother to 18.  

Service: Monday, June 12 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Monica Church. The family will receive friends at Vito-Nero Funeral Home, 6130 Turney Road, Garfield Hts., Ohio.  (2 blocks south of Rockside) on Monday from 8:45 – 9:45 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
