Tresa Son "Terry"

August 16, 1926 - October 3, 2018

Tresa "Terry" Son (nee Granato), passed away peacefully  on October 3, 2018. Loving wife of Victor Donald for 48 years (deceased); beloved mother of Cheryl Maenza (Robert), Victor D. Son, Jr. (Joan) and Sharon Son (Dave Shumney), devoted grandmother of seven and great grandmother of eight and one on the way; dearest daughter of Angelina (nee Talarico) and Francesco "Frank" Granato of New Castle, PA, (both deceased); devoted sister of eight (deceased); loving sister-in-law, cherished aunt and friend of many. Terry was born in New Castle, PA, where, at age 20, she married Victor, the love of her life, and celebrated 48 years of marriage before his death in 1995. She was an accomplished seamstress, and also enjoyed cooking, baking and creating special-occasion cakes and wedding cakes for family and friends. Terry had been in the compassionate care of the Homestead Memory Care Unit of Genesis The Heights for a little more than a year and was affectionately known by her care team as “Terry Berry”.

Service: Monday, October 8, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at the Funeral Home and 11 a.m. at St. Monica Catholic Church, 13623 Rockside Rd. Garfield Heights, OH. Family will receive visitors at Vito-Nero Funeral Home 6130 Turney Rd. (2 Blks South of Rockside) on Sunday from 1-3 p.m.  Interment All Saints Cemetery immediately following Mass. 

 

 

 

Theresa M. Klimkewicz "Terry"

October 31, 1929 - June 7, 2017

Theresa M. Klimkewicz “Terry” (née Witkowski), long-time resident of Garfield Hts, Ohio passed away on Wednesday June 7, 2017 at the age of 87 after a lengthy battle with Alzheimers.   Theresa was a member and past president of the Garfield Hts. Women's Club for many years and a member of the Women's Auxiliary of Amvets Post 80.  Theresa loved to read and to travel but especially enjoyed parties and holidays with her family.  Born on October 31st, she always referred to herself as the "good witch".  She was a long-time member of St. Monica Catholic Church.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years Ambrose, and siblings, Anna Wisniewski, Adele Apana, Wanda Blauman, Frances Farren and Thaddeus "Sky" Witkowski.  She is survived by her children David Klimkewicz (Mary Jane), Thomas Klimkewicz, (Antoinette), Marian Cooper, and Marcia Demerest (Walter).  She was grandmother to Erik Klimkewicz, Angela Corso (Cooper), John Klimkewicz, Audra Tuetken (Cooper), Seth Klimkewicz, Kate LaScala (Klimkewicz), Stefanie Sikon (Cooper), Patrick Klimkewicz, Keith Demerest, and Mary Arnold (Demerest),) and great-grandmother to 18.  

Service: Monday, June 12 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Monica Church. The family will receive friends at Vito-Nero Funeral Home, 6130 Turney Road, Garfield Hts., Ohio.  (2 blocks south of Rockside) on Monday from 8:45 – 9:45 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
