Mrs. James, 85, peacefully went to be with the Lord on February 10, 2015 at the home of her daughter and main caregiver, Knova Wooten, and was surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. James was born on December 9, 1929 in McMinnville, Tennessee to Alton and Lydia Henegar. A long time resident of Painesville, she was a retired custodian for Lake County. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was an exceptional cook and was known for her fried chicken and sweet potato pies, and would never send anyone away hungry. A woman who always believed in the power of prayer, reading the bible was a great joy for her and she spread her spirit to all by the examples she set during her lifetime. She also loved listening to and singing Gospel Music. Loved by all who knew her, she will be greatly missed.
