Janice Lucille Nagel, (nee Hahn) 1936-2018 died peacefully in her wonderful home in Richfield, Ohio on May 28th. She had battled dementia for many years but was always a lovely, and funny woman even in her illness. The most loving and supportive mother and grandmother to her daughter Barbara Rosene and grandchildren Hubbell and Madeline Rosene; they were extremely close. Her sister Linda Glasener and nieces Jennifer and Jessica Glasener were also recipients of her love and care. She delighted in her grandnephews Ronan and Jack Taylor. Her home was a haven over the years for the whole family and she was the kind of person people confided in, always. She also had a great love of animals and had rescued and loved many dogs and cats throughout the years. Jan was a resident of Richfield for 60 years. She had grown up on Cleveland’s west side. She was active in The Richfield Garden Club, The Richfield Historical Society, The Richfield United Church of Christ, Book Club, and many other community activities. Her husband Bill had been very active too as a councilman and as a business owner. She helped with his business for many years. She loved Richfield and her home on Humphrey Rd. A wonderful artist, quilt maker, avid reader, and lover of classic films, Jan was a very humorous lady with a knack for sarcasm, a very quick wit, and always a desire to have a good laugh. The family wishes to thank The Richfield Senior Center, The Richfield UCC, Hospice of the Western Reserve and all of her neighbors on and around Humphrey Rd. There will be a memorial service at the Richfield United Church of Christ at a later date.
