GEORGE A. GUYTON

March 9, 1920 - February 12, 2015

George A. Guyton, 94, of Munson Township passed away peacefully on February 12, 2015. Born March 9, 1920, George came from humble beginnings in the rolling hills of Pennsylvania. Hearing his call to serve his country at age 22, he enlisted in the Army Air Corps. George is a WWII veteran of 75 bombing missions over enemy territory. He served as a Flight Engineer/Gunner on B25s in the Army Air Corps, 12th Bomb Group, 434th Squadron, the EARTHQUAKERS, in the China, Burma, India Theater. He went from a Pennsylvania farm, to serving his country, marrying his beloved wife Dorothy, raising three daughters and putting satellites into space. He lived the American Dream. George is preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Dorothy M. Guyton. He is survived by his daughters: Dianne G. Blair (William), Linda G. Blair (John), Karen KG Porter (John); His 6 Grandchildren and 8 Great-grandchildren, 
who's company he greatly enjoyed. We are richer for having him as Father, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather and Friend. His kindness, love and smile will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be interred in Mentor Municipal Cemetery on Memorial Day Weekend 2015.
