Shawn died peacefully July 28, 2022. He had just turned 52 on June 14. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Shawnda of 14 years. Stepdaughter Paige and Stepsons Zakarie and Nicholas. Grandchildren Arabella, Karter, and Amelia. And a special daughter Emily. His mother, Bonnie (Paul) Gnuschke. His father Gary (Betty Jo) Price. Brothers Jeff and Doug Price. Special friends Mike (Karen) Kitko and Sandra Huber. Preceded in death by a brother Nate Price. Shawn was a veteran of the Navy. Serving during the Gulf war. He did 2 tours on the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln in the Persian Gulf.
There will be a Memorial Visitation at his home on Sundays August 7, 2022, between 1pm and 4pm. 12023 Maple Leaf Dr. Garfield Heights Oh 44125.

James Stanley Murowsky
James Stanley Murowsky, died peacefully on 7/12/2022 at home surrounded by his family, after a long battle with cancer. He was a fighter to the end. Dearest son of the late Henry and JoAnn (nee Gagliardo) Murowsky; beloved husband of Laura M. (nee Drozd) for 50 years; loving father of Joseph James (Traci) and Matthew Louis (Meredith); grandfather of Nicole, Rebecca, Kayla, Brandon, Tyler, and Hunter; brother of Joy Otten (Bobby), Gail, Karen Kocin (Phil), Julie Volinski and Tom (deceased) (Kathy); uncle and great-uncle. Jim Loved his family, especially his grandchildren, and was happiest whenever he was with them. He was a proud United States Marine Corp Veteran. He showed his love for his fellow veterans by volunteering his time and energy as a Honor Guard at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, OH. He was also an avid sportsman who enjoyed the outdoors.
Services will be held on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Monica Church 13623 Rockside Road Garfield Hts. OH 44125. The family will receive friends in the church 1 hour prior to the mass. Inurnment will follow at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.

Joseph Michael Nero
June 23, 1956 – July 4, 2022
Beloved husband of the late Janice M. (nee Moran); father of Joseph A. (Julie) and Angelo; son of Armand J. Sr. and Lois (nee Vito) (both deceased); brother of Robert (Dawn) and Armand Jr. (deceased); uncle of Robert, Samantha, and Peter (deceased), nephew, cousin, dear friend of Beth and friend of many (including the four legged-kind, Arnold and Maverick).
Joe was the instrument of joy in the lives of so many, a true selfless man. He dedicated himself to his heritage, his faith, his community, and his family. For decades Joe was an active participant in various groups and organizations in the Northeast Ohio community including the Baranello Lodge, Special Olympics, St. Monica’s Church, Garfield Heights/Padua/North Royalton Hockey Programs, Ohio Funeral Director Association, and the Village of Valley View. He served all with genuine joy and pleasure.
Joe was a third-generation funeral director who followed in the considerable footsteps of his grandfather (Joseph J. Vito) and mother (Lois). He succeeded them with excellence as he dedicated himself to serving those in need with the utmost respect and reverence.
Joe protected and cared for his oldest brother (Armand Jr.) for the majority of his life and supported his late wife (Janice) amidst her quest to cure Type 1 Diabetes. Joe was the epitome of a father in the way he cared for his two boys Joey and Angelo. He sacrificed plenty to ensure a better life for his boys.
He will be missed greatly by many but mostly by humanity as he was the pinnacle of what is good in the world.
Services will be held on Friday, July 8 at 10 a.m. at St. Monica Church. (Please Meet at the Church). The family will receive friends at Vito-Nero Funeral Home, 6130 Turney Rd, Garfield Heights on Thursday, July 7 from 3-8 p.m.

Stephanie J. List (nee Suvak) age 74 passed away peacefully on June 21, 2022. Stephanie was preceded in death by her loving husband Chester B. She was the loving sister of Andrew J. (Wendy), Donald S. (Linda), and Mary Patricia; aunt, great aunt, and Godmother. She was a volunteer for Adult Literacy. Stephanie also enjoyed reading and gardening.

Jerome Dennis Solgos “Jerry” age 85 died peacefully on May 23, 2022. He was born May 5, 1937, to the late Al and Mildred (Vito) Solgos. Jerry was preceded in death by his wife Norita (nee Kaltenbach), and is survived by his loving wife Marie (nee Damukaitis); daughters Donna Pesta (Don) and Debbie Heatwole (Jerry), son Jerome A Solgos; stepsons Joseph “Basil” Damukaitis and Jeffrey Damukaitis (deceased); grandchildren Lisa Melillo (Chris), Scott Pesta (Meg), Mary Pesta, Seaver Heatwole, Cory Heatwole, Justice Solgos and Shanelle Solgos; step grandchildren Chloe Emsoff (Justin) and Corbin Damukaitis; great grandchildren Adam and Marissa Bartow and Cameron Pesta; step great grandchild Kennady Emsoff; sisters Aldona Serrani (Tony deceased), Maryann Mondell Albright (Allan) and Sheila Waller (Bob deceased); many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Jerry was a member of the Holy Name Society and St. Vincent de Paul Society, where he assisted many families who were struggling. He touched so many with his kindness and humor. If you met him, you loved him. Jerry was a hardworking, giving, and loving man that will be deeply missed by everyone blessed to have known him.

Matthew Czuchaj of Willowick, age 44, passed away on April 21, 2022. Beloved husband of the late Melisa; father of Justin Ward; son of Timothy Sr. and Louise (nee Bochatyn); brother of Timothy Jr., Kimberly Ann Farmer (Tim), Michael, and Sheryl Smith (deceased) (Eric); special cousin of Tony (deceased); nephew, uncle, cousin, and friend of many. Matthew was a top knotch aviation mechanic for many years.

Carol Lee Kurek
October 10, 1954 - April 16, 2022
Carol was born and raised in Parma, Ohio. She was a skilled cosmetologist, a loving wife, an amazing mother and devoted grandmother. Her kids and grandkids were her life and she would do anything to make sure her family was taken care of. After a long and hard life, Carol went peacefully into the light surrounded by her family and lots of love. May her strength and memory live on in all those who knew and loved her.
The beloved wife of David Chovanek, Carol was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Marilyn (Miller) Krywejko, her brother Kenneth Krywejko and step father James J. Kvak.
She is survived by her former spouse James M. Kurek and their two children James (Lisa) Kurek and Ashley Kurek Blea. Loving grandmother to James Kurek Jr. and Raelyn Blea.
