Michael Nero

MICHAEL NERO, age 83, sadly passed peacefully on November 2, 2025 (All Souls Day) Cherished son of the late Nick and Theresa Nero (nee DeLuca), dear brother of Nick Nero. Former husband of Diane (Cupcake), dearest father of Nicky (Jackie), Michael (Theresa), Stephanie (Michael), Frankie (Natasha). Beloved grandfather of 10 beautiful grandchildren, Angelena (Tim), Rosalie, Tessa, Carlena, Dominick, Anthony, Gianna, Alessandra, Joey, and Tommaso. Dearest uncle to Melissa and Nicole (Mark) great uncle to Alessia and Anthony and friend to so many. 

Born and raised in Mayfield Heights, worked for his family The Nero Bros Construction, for many years, Collinwood Railroad, Perry Nuclear Power Plant, and in Naples, FL. He proudly served in the US Army and Vietnam.

Michael had a lot of nicknames in life, “Las Vegas Mike, Cheech, Big Mike, Ole Blue Eyes, Rodney Dangerfield” but none surpassed his favorite which was “PAPA”. He will be forever missed. The funniest man to ever walk this earth, just ask anyone who knew him, he was one of a kind! May his light never dim. Salute in Heaven Pops!

The family will receive relatives & friends at The Shulte, Mahon-Murphy Funeral Home, 5252 Mayfield Rd, Lyndhurst, Oh, 44124 on Veteran’s Day, Tuesday, November 11th, 2025 from 4-8:00 pm, followed by Military Honors.
